# Your WhatsApp, as one short morning note

> Five groups, two families, a few people waiting for an answer. Ask your agent for one note: what moved overnight, what was decided, and who needs you.

**A daily WhatsApp digest with Circles:** your agent checks which of your chosen chats moved since yesterday, reads only those, and writes one short note with decisions, dates and questions for you. Your agent writes the digest from the chats Circles serves, and runs it every morning if it can schedule tasks. Free for 2 chats, or Pro at $29 a month (₪99 in Israel) with 14 days free, as of October 2026.

## A digest prompt to copy

Paste it into your agent, change the chats, and save it wherever your agent keeps reusable prompts.

```
Good morning. Using Circles, catch me up on WhatsApp since 7:00 yesterday
(I am in Israel time). Look at: the Oak Street parents group, the Building 12
committee, Family, and any direct chat where someone asked me something.
For each chat with real news, give me:
- decisions and dates
- anything I need to bring, pay or answer
- one line, max three
Skip chats with only greetings or reactions. End with a list of people
waiting for a reply from me.
```

## Other ways to ask

- **"Morning digest: one line per chat that moved overnight."**: The fastest version, for busy mornings.
- **"Who is waiting for an answer from me since yesterday?"**: Chats where the last word is someone else's question.
- **"Every Sunday: what is coming up this week from all my groups?"**: Dates and deadlines, collected into one list.
- **"What happened overnight?"**: Sent to Instinct in a WhatsApp message on the way to the car.

## How the agent builds it

1. **Check what moved**: `activity` returns each open chat with new messages since the time you gave, with counts and the last sender, and no text. Quiet chats cost nothing.
2. **Read only what moved**: `catch_up` returns the new messages from those chats, grouped by chat, with names resolved and voice notes as text.
3. **Write the note**: Your agent writes the digest in the shape you asked for. Times arrive in UTC, so say your time zone once and the agent converts.

## Every morning, on its own?

Circles answers when an agent asks. It does not schedule or push anything, so the "every morning" part belongs to your agent:

- **If your agent can run tasks on a schedule,** ask it to run your digest prompt every morning at the time you choose. It connects to Circles each time like any other request.
- **If it cannot,** save the prompt and send it yourself with your coffee. With Instinct, that is a WhatsApp message: "what happened overnight?"

Either way, every request the digest makes is in your Circles activity log.

## Agents that do this best

- **[Instinct](https://usecircles.app/en/agents/instinct)**: Ask for the digest in WhatsApp and read it there.
- **[Claude](https://usecircles.app/en/agents/claude)**: Good for many chats at once, and can mix in your calendar or email if you connected them.
- **[ChatGPT](https://usecircles.app/en/agents/chatgpt)**: Keep the digest prompt next to everything else you do in ChatGPT.

## Pick the chats that belong in the digest

A digest only needs **read** access to the chats in it. Open those, set everything else to hidden, and the agent cannot wander: a hidden chat is not listed, not searched and never named. If you prefer to leave all your direct chats out, Circles can exclude them as a whole. [How Circles handles your chats](https://usecircles.app/en/security).

## Questions and answers

### Can AI give me a daily digest of my WhatsApp groups?

Yes. Connect your agent to Circles, open the groups you want, and ask for a catch-up since yesterday. The agent checks which chats moved and summarizes only those.

### Does Circles send me the digest automatically?

No. Circles answers when your agent asks, and it does not schedule or push anything. If your agent can run scheduled tasks, it can ask Circles every morning on its own.

### Will a daily digest be slow or expensive for my agent?

It stays light. Circles' `activity` tool tells the agent which chats moved, with counts and no text, so it reads only the chats with news.

### Does the digest include voice notes?

Yes. Circles transcribes voice notes automatically, Hebrew and English, so the digest covers what people said as well as what they typed.

### What time zone does Circles use?

Circles gives every time in UTC. Tell your agent your time zone once in the prompt and it converts.
