Switch from WhatSync to Circles, and keep everything that works
Your WhatsApp stays where it is. You add Circles as a linked device, check it on your own chats during the free trial, and close WhatSync only when you are happy.
To switch from WhatSync to Circles, link Circles as a new device on the same WhatsApp, choose your chats, connect your AI to Circles' address, and check your history before you end WhatSync. Nothing is exported or imported: Circles reads your chats from WhatsApp directly. Circles Pro is $29 a month after 14 days free, and you cancel WhatSync yourself, on its billing page.

Before you start
- Your number and WhatsApp app stay the same. Nobody you talk to sees a change.
- Nothing to export. Circles links to WhatsApp itself, the way WhatsApp Web does, and syncs your history from there.
- Both can run side by side. Circles is a separate linked device, so you can try it while WhatSync still works.
- Circles does not cancel anything for you. Your WhatSync plan is between you and WhatSync. If you are on annual billing, check WhatSync's terms before you cancel.
The switch, step by step
Start Circles
Open usecircles.app on your phone or computer and enter your WhatsApp number. A sign-in link arrives on WhatsApp from the Circles number. Every signup starts with 14 days of Pro.
Link WhatsApp
In WhatsApp, open Linked devices and link a new device: type the code Circles shows, or scan the QR from a computer. Your phone keeps working as usual.
Choose your chats
Set each chat to hidden, read, or read and send. Start the way you had it on WhatSync, then tighten: a group you never ask about can stay hidden.
Connect your AI
In Claude or ChatGPT, add a custom connector with

Ask about something old: "find the PDF the landlord sent in the spring". History keeps arriving in the background after linking. Older files and media, from more than about 25 days before linking, are fetched from your phone when the AI asks for them.
Close WhatSync yourself
When Circles answers what you need, cancel WhatSync on its billing page and remove its device in WhatsApp under Linked devices.
Your checklist before you cancel
- Your AI lists the chats you opened, and none you hid.
- A question about this week's group chat gets a correct answer.
- A question about an old message or file finds it.
- A voice note in Hebrew or English comes back as text.
- If you send: a test reply goes to a chat you opened for sending, once, and appears in your activity log.
- WhatSync's connector is off in your AI, and its device is removed in WhatsApp.
Five things to ask on day one
- "What did the building committee decide this week, and is anything waiting on me?"
- "Find the quote the plumber sent, and tell me the price and the date he can come."
- "Summarise yesterday's voice notes from the family group."
- "Who asked me something today that I have not answered?"
- "Draft a short reply to Dana saying Thursday works. Show it to me before you send."

Questions and answers
Can Circles import my data from WhatSync?
There is no import, and you do not need one. Circles links to your WhatsApp directly and syncs your history from there, as far back as WhatsApp gives a linked device.
Will Circles cancel my WhatSync subscription?
No. You cancel WhatSync yourself on its billing page, and remove its linked device in WhatsApp. Circles never touches another service's account.
Can WhatSync and Circles run at the same time?
Yes. Each is its own linked device, so you can compare both on the same chats during Circles' 14-day trial.
Will the people I talk to notice?
No. Your number, your app and your chats stay the same. Circles sends nothing unless you open a chat for sending and approve it.
What if Circles is not for me?
Choose nothing at the end of the trial and the account moves to Free at no charge. A paid plan's first charge is refunded in full on request within 7 days.
